Project Overview
Physical resale shopping can be time-consuming, while many households
have valuable unused items sitting idle. There was a need for a
trusted platform that could connect buyers seeking affordable products
with sellers looking to give their items a second life.
My team and I built Malik Marketplace (MMP), a web-based second-hand
marketplace that streamlines buying, selling, and product management
through dedicated customer, seller, and admin experiences.

Context
While buyers search for affordable alternatives to expensive products,
many valuable items sit unused in homes, garages, and storage rooms.
The challenge isn't supply or demand it's connecting the two.
That's where Malik Marketplace (MMP) comes in. Our team created a
trusted online marketplace that helps people buy, sell, and give
products a second life.
Problem
Second-hand buyers often spend significant time searching across different stores and platforms to find affordable products, while sellers have limited ways to reach trustworthy buyers. Existing solutions lack structure, verification, and transparency, creating friction and reducing trust for both sides of the marketplace.
Goal
Our goal was to create a secure and user-friendly marketplace that makes buying and selling second-hand products simple, trustworthy, and accessible. The platform needed to support customers, sellers, and administrators while promoting sustainable and affordable shopping.

Result
The project successfully delivered a web-based marketplace that
supports the complete second-hand buying and selling journey.
Customers can browse products, manage favorites, add items to their
cart, and make purchases, while sellers can create and manage listings
through a dedicated dashboard.
The platform also includes
administrative tools for category management, product approval, and
user moderation, helping maintain trust and marketplace quality. By
combining role-based access, product verification, and an intuitive
user experience, the final solution created a reliable environment for
second-hand commerce.
